Nested subfolders will appear as nested submenus. If you don’t want them to appear in the menu, you can put them one level higher so that they still show up in the user tab in the browser , possibly organizing them into additional subfolders, or wherever you like. Recently discovered the amazingly vast User library, and I’m looking for some advice for keeping things organized. First and foremost, where is the best place to store these downloaded files?

I’m using Reaktor on windows, so would the best practice be keeping them in the NI folder under my Documents? If there’s no standard best-practice for this, how do you keep your reaktor content organized?

Messages: The best place keep librarys is on a separate hard drive. Native Access will install all NI libraries to the same directory, but you can choose that directory. I would just let windows install the stand alone apps to their default locations. On the Mac documents are saved to the documents folder. I also just leave them alone It’s best to have your operating system and libraries on one drive and then your project files on another drive I wouldn’t keep audio library in a user directory and as close to the root as possible, but that’s just me.

You can keep them wherever you want really. I have a native access pointed at that for downloads The way that made of access works all of the different native instruments libraries like to be installed in the same folder though Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk. Dillon Fontaine , Dec 30, Informative x 1. Messages: 1, If you look in your Reaktor preferences, you can set the path to your User Library under the ‘Directories’ tab.

So basically you can put these files anywhere you like, but you should set the path here to get the greatest benefit. Dillon is correct though, you shouldn’t have these files within your main Reaktor installation as this may be overwritten by updates. Moujik , Dec 30, Like x 1. Whats the difference between Player user and Library drop down sections? I assume the UL Downloads go in the latter.

Not sure what to point the first one at, however. It makes not much of a difference, but I usually store everything in the library folder and only ensembles that are used on there own which I don’t want to import into other ensembles within the player-folder. Much more important is the usage of the searchbox-functionality. You should create two sub-folders within your library-directory: ‘primary’ and ‘core’. Everything that is placed within these two sub-directories will be shown in the searchbox depending on the level where you are, i.

Subdirectories within these sub-directories are possible. Seoman , Dec 30, Informative x 3. I suppose instruments and ensembles would go in the Primary folder. Core is a deeper programming level, so only certain parts would go in there. Currently I just use a custom folder for ensembles and instruments, and I find them with the “Favorites” feature, which is on the Files tab. Seoman , Jan 2, Can I contribute to it? If so, how do I get started contributing and using? Is there a manual somewhere?

Dec 03,  · Locate Kontakt and Reaktor sound libraries. For your sound libraries to show up and load in Kontakt 5 or Reaktor 6, they must be located in the Content location directory in Native Access’ preferences. Now that your Content location preferences are updated, any new library content will be installed to that directory.
